I’ve Been Where You Are
In my 40’s, I started noticing something felt off. My brain felt foggy, my energy was draining away, and little things that never used to bother me suddenly made me irritable. I chalked it up to stress, aging, or just “one of those phases.” But it didn’t pass.

When I finally went to the doctor, I was told I might be depressed—that maybe a medication adjustment was the answer. But no one ever said, “You might be in perimenopause.” No one told me that the shift I was feeling was completely normal—or that there were simple, powerful changes I could make to start feeling like myself again.

I left that appointment frustrated, but also determined. What if the conversation had been different? What if instead of focusing on medications, we talked about nutrition, movement, and lifestyle strategies that could actually help?
​
So, I started digging. I dove deep into functional nutrition and strength training—and what I learned changed my life. Not only did I start feeling better, but I also developed a whole new appreciation for my body. Instead of feeling like I was “falling apart,” I realized I could get stronger, more energized, and more confident than ever.

That’s what led me here. Today, as a registered dietitian and personal trainer, I help women over 40 navigate these changes with real, practical strategies—so they can stop feeling confused and start feeling in control.
